Back-to-school is just another season to showcase how
Mom always comes to the rescue. Throughout the year moms
juggle, drop off, pick up, pot luck, whatever is thrown their way-
they’ve got it, they’re on it, it’s DONE and DONE. But
a new survey reveals that there’s a pretty big issue that has some moms
completely stumped- their children’s ACNE.

As bodies change and style is of utmost importance,
appearance is a huge deal to teenagers. During this time, any
capable mother can feel a little lost about how to handle all the changes their
child is going through. A new study, conducted by Proactiv,
reveals these shocking stats:

Did you know?

66% of moms would
feel worse if their teen had acne for an entire semester than if their
teen didn’t have a date to the prom
66% of moms think
they know more about how their teen feels about school than their looks
65% of moms
believe their teens know more about algebra than how to prevent or treat
their acne
52% of moms who
have acne-prone teens feel sad or helpless (49%) when their teens breakout
49% of moms
believe they are better suited to help with their teen’s homework
than assist them in dealing with their acne
46% of moms who
experienced acne as a teen feel worse about their teens inheriting
appearance problems than health issues
41% of moms would
give up an hour of sleep every night for a year to ensure that their teen
has eternally clear skin

MY REVIEW:

I had the wonderful opportunity to try out Proactive Teen Kit! I have two younger brothers, 18 and 15 and they have started getting acne (one more then the other). I had them test the teen kit out and they had great results! The kit consisted of a 3 step system, plus a spot treatment and a deep cleansing Wash for the body. The wash for the body was great because they play sports and get really sweaty and get breakouts! they loved the products. The 15 year old wasn't as committed to the treatment because he likes to just wash his face in the shower and he is done but the 18 year old he has been dealing with acne a lot longer and is definitely loving the benefits and doesn't mind the few minutes of extra effort it takes each morning and evening.

The one thing you have to remember with acne products(especially ones that work) is that there usually is a breakout period in the beginning especially for those who haven't really used treatments in the past. The period is quick and you need to just get through it because great results will come after! I am talking from my own experience! I have had acne for over 15 years and it is under control now but it took a lot of experimenting to get it that way so find what is best for you but give each treatment at least two months to get to know if it's going to work or not.

Buy It: Proactive can be bought at Proactive.com

I learned that the medicated Renewing Cleanser is made with new, exclusive micro-crystal benzoyl peroxide — featuring smaller, finer particles designed to quickly penetrate pores to start killing acne-causing bacteria on contact.

Acne is not caused by anything you're "doing". Instead, acne is a complex condition triggered by genetics and hormones—sometimes aggravated by stress.

I learned that acne has no cure—not with the most expensive prescription medication; not with the best over-the-counter system. However, acne can be healed and controlled with daily maintenance therapy with proven acne medicines.- www. Proactiv.com
